My baby is 2weeks old. I noticed a round lump or nodes like in her tummy below the chest above the tummy.. is it usually serious?
Difficult to guess: It's difficult to guess what the round lump in your 2 week old baby's tummy might be without being able to examine her. I'm assuming she has no other symptoms. While it may be that she has a ventral hernia, only her pediatrician would really be able to diagnose it. She should have a 2 week exam, and at that visit her doctor can give you more information about whether it's serious or not. ...Read more

If she is 40 weeks pregnant, waiting 1-2 more weeks until after the delivery is an appropriate course of action before doing a mammogram. It is most likely an enlarged milk duct or lymph node, but it is important to follow through. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
