Clogged sweat gland or lymphoma? Small painful lump in armpit, close to skin, slightly red. Remarkably smaller after a few days. No other symptoms.
Lymphoma unlikely: Lymphomas are usually painless. Painful lump means some infection and you should talk to primary care doctor (pcp) and examined in pcp office. If needed, dermatology referral. Watch for fever, weight loss, night sweats which are usually associated with lymphoma. Fever can be associated with infections also and painful swellings. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Please see your doctor right away and also speak to your Mom. ...Read more

Small movable lump in armpit that dr says has gone down in size. But I've had it for 3 months. Should I worry? She says she's not worried.

Lymph nodes enlarge when they are doing what they are there for, fighting inflammation, and have some characteristics that can only be assessed by examining them. That is what your doctor is trained to do and she should be listened to. Best wishes. ...Read more
