Breast tissue: It is possible that you are seeing axillary breast tissue. The tail of Spence (part of breast) is more prominent during pregnancy due to hormonal changes. Your doctor will need to confirm this with an exam at your next pregnancy appointment ...Read more

Hello dr during my 1 pregnancy i noticed swelling in my armpit my baby is taking breast feed and now i noticed swelling is decrease then before i feel?

Unclear question...: However, if a woman has swelling in her armpit area each time she has a baby and breastfeeds, she might have some extra breast tissue (milk-producing glands) in the armpit area. Her primary care doctor or her Ob-Gyn doctor can evaluate to see if that is the case. ...Read more

Extra breast tissue: This is not unusual. There can be extra nests of breast tissue in the armpit and when your hormones surge, like in early pregnancy it expands. This is not dangerous, thank goodness!. To be sure there are no suspicious findings, bring it to the attention of your ob. If it causes cosmetic problems after pregnancy then get the extra tissue taken out surgically... ...Read more

If inside the armpit, after delivery it may go away by itself. It may be enlarged lymph node due to breast engorgement. Please do not worry too much.it does not sound a serious problem. ...Read more
