I have a lump behind ear on head, hard but slightly mobile. Been there a month but got a little smaller, should I get it checked with dr for cancer?

I have 5-7 lumps on my neck, behind ear, spine. they start out like a small hard lump or large lump and scab over. im 22. is this cancer? it dont hurt
Possibly infection: If the lesions end up with scabs it sounds more likely that these lumps are infection such as a boil or abscess. However, I tend to be conservative and the lumps should be evaluated and if necessary a biopsy may be taken or if there is discharge then a culture could be taken. See a medical provider. Level II Lymph Node: What you are describing is a level ii lymph node. These are enlarged when you get a sore throat, and can be enlarged when cancer spreads to them as well. May or may not be!: Enlarged lymph nodes are commonly due to infection or inflammation. In such cases the node is tender to touch/pressure. Painless lymph nodescan be due to cancer but it depends on their size and whether node is growing in size over a period of month or two. Not certain: It sounds like there is a fluid collection in the skin behind the ear. Questions to ask yourself: is this soft? Does it move when you touch it? Is it painful or red?
