What's your question: "lump in top of [my] leg" could be due to many things. If you're describing groin area where thigh joints pelvis, this might be a hernia or swollen lymph node (gland). Hematoma or bleeding could do this. Infection, too, even abscess, if red & painful. Severely broken bone but i think you'd have a pretty good idea of that. Hives? But those are temporary & itchy. Most lumps, benign: Don't start worrying. The majority of small bumps on your head would be benign (not cancer). Lumps that can be tender are cysts, lymph nodes and less likely lipomas.
