Are vivid dreams any indication of sleep quality? Deep sleep? Been having vivid dreams nighty for weeks.
Possibly: Zopiclone is a sleep medication from the so-called hypnotic family used in the UK for insomnia. It is well-known to cause vivid hallucinations, amnesia, confusion and other similar class-based symptoms (all hypnotics cause these to some degree). Although I have not not heard of patients reporting vivid dreams specifically, it is certainly possible given the other, similar known side effects. ...Read more
We are not sure: Lucid dreaming is the conscious awareness of dreaming during rem sleep. There is no well documented evidence of bad effects of lucid dreaming. However, it may be because there is not a lot of people doing that type of research. Some medications that can prevent rem sleep, are not associated with observable ill-effects.
