Doctor insights on:
Yes unless her skin: Is very dry, in which case baby lotion may be better. Many doctors recommend adult lotions for babies instead of the baby formulas. Lotions like lubriderm & cetaphil r good because there are almost no added ingredients. Soaps like dove unscented/sensitive skin r good choices, too.
It's safe: To put lubriderm on your penis. But vaseline is better.
Not really: You could try it. It will be soothing. You may have to wait until the rash heals on its own.
Lubriderm advanced therapy lotion good for dry skin?? Been using Aveeno (oatmeal) right after the shower still dry... How can I prevent chicken skin spots??
Other creams help: For rough bumps (or "chicken skin" or keratosis pilaris), it's helpful to use a moisturizer with a "keratolytic" ingredient -- this breaks down the more thick rough skin that sometimes builds up in pores and leads to rough bumps. Keratolytics include salicylic acid, ammonium lactate, and urea. Cerave SA cream and Amlactin are two over the counter examples that have one of those ingredients.
No: Most moisturizers help your skin retain the water which helps with dry itchy skin.
Red bumps in pubic area (male). Don't seem to stop coming I've tried skin lotion like lubriderm for men and still nothing. Help please!?
Need pics: Rashes on the groin/private area need to be examined as any number of things could cause this to occur. Please post pictures or see your doctor. Good luck
Your Preference: Cetaphil, eucerin, and lubriderm will all effectively hydrate your skin. Their sensation on the skin is personal preference. When applied, some patients have described their feel as: heavy, thick, greasy, slimy, or messy.

I have psoriasis, and have a small rash on my face I recenly bought dove sensitive soap and lubriderm good or bad mixture? Or aveeno (oatmeal)?
Good brands: These are good brands made for dry sensitive skin. Use products that are hypoallergenic, fragrance-free. Some other brands include cetaphil, cerave, eucerin, vanos, neutrogena.
The poison oak I have under my knee cap (I fell) is really dry as is the skin. Should I put my Lubriderm daily moisturizer or should I just leave it?
Skin Care: Multiple lotions have side effects and should not be used without a good dermatologist evaluation and recommendation. Over the counter medications fall into herbal treatments which are not monitored by the fda and are therefore able to offer unproven benefits and not disclosing the side effects.
Drying agent: An astringent is something to dry up an area - would have to know what you were referring to.
Aloe straight from: The plant is recommended. Lotions w aloe don't have a high enough aloe concentration. Aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) can v redness, pain, itching ; swelling from burns. It has anesthetic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial ; antifungal qualities. It speeds burn healing by stimulating new skin growth.
