How do I lower my TSH from 6?

How do I lower my TSH from 6?

Take more Synthroid: If you're following your tsh, i'm assuming that you have hypothyroidism on replacement therapy. The number is opposite: if you are not on enough synthroid, the TSH is high. If you are on too much synthroid, the TSH is low. Look at the normal range for tsh. If you feel sluggish, cold, fat, or constipated; you may need an increase in your dose (or you may need to start thyroid replacement!). ...Read more

Are there any specific foods or products that can naturally enhance ones TSH levels? Would like to avoid a low dosage of medication if i can!

Are there any specific foods or products that can naturally enhance ones TSH levels? Would like to avoid a low dosage of medication if i can!

No: There are no such foods such as that. If your TSH level is low, that means your thyroid is overproducing thyroid hormone and that could be a goiter or other thyroid disease - you definitely need that checked and treated. If your thyroid hormone is low, then your TSH would be high. In that case, you need to take some form of thyroid replacement med - there are different options for that. ...Read more

It depends: The answer to this question depends on how you feel, how long it took for the TSH tests to change, and the result f the next test. The ideal dose of thyroid replacement takes time to determine, and can change with other changes in your health. Stay on the current dose until you & your doctor discuss it. ...Read more

Tsh of 0.66 (range 0.30-5.60). Is this a normal result or on the lower side of normal?

Low normal,,,: This is on the lower side of normal. It's in normal range but it's low and it'd be a good idea to get the thyroid readings checked and see if they're high normal or low as it's important in deciding therapy if needed. So see your doctor for this and a good physical exam. Best of luck. ...Read more
