Lower Right Abdominal Swelling In Women
Female, 40, all blood test incl. Tumor markers normal. Lower right abdominal swelling before bowel movement which goes completely down after. Any ideas?

Need CT: If a ultrasound is not helpful, often a CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis will better be able to identify if you have a hernia (defect in the abdominal wall fascia) It will also look at your intestines to see if you have an appendicitis or small bowel or colon problem. Sometimes a CT can be better at identifying other pathology such as an ovarian cyst or urachal cyst that would not be seen on US

I hope he's ok: Take him to the dr. And get an examination and maybe some testing if the Dr. Orders any, to properly diagnose why he is swelling in his lower abdominal area.

The bloating is usually from swallowed gas and/or bacterial imbalance in the gastrointestinal tract. If it is just the lower abdomen, and the patient is female, it may be due to gynecologic problem or even gyn malignancy. If it is with constipation, a laxative may help.
