I have lower right abdominal pain that radiates to my back and sometimes my hip, it ranges from mild to severe but is always present, it started week or so ago , what are some common causes of this kind of pain?
Causes: Possibilities include kidney stone, right sided pelvic pathology,appendicitis and nerve discomfort due to pressure on a nerve root from a disc in the spine. The abscess is treated first, (drainage and antibiotics) and the appendix is removed at a staged procedure about 6 weeks later. Okay to ask your doc for referral to general surgeon.
