Sharp pinching pain in one spot on lower right abdomen on and off for months. Decreased sensation on skin in that area. Slight swelling not hernia. ?

Could be anything: Pain in the right lower quadrant in 20 years old female could be a lot of things could be ovarian cyst could be a hernia in progress could be a bladder problem could be renal colic could be GI problem depend on what other symptoms you might have with it I'd course could be appendicitis but that will cause acute pain not pain that come and goes check with your doctor ...Read more

Abdominal pain: Appendicitis is the commonest cause of right lower abdominal discomfort and tenderness usually,but not always, is present. Right ovarian pathology is another possibility. Since your discomfort is persistent,I recommend that you be evaluated by a physician for appendicitis as soon as possible. ...Read more

I have had throbbing pain in lower right abdomen all day. No other major symptoms..did have a good bit to drink last night could this be the cause ?

Maybe (not) . . .: Drinking to excess is never a good idea. But when someone complains of right lower quadrant pain, we always worry about appendicitis, especially if nausea/vomiting, fevers/sweats/chills, pain w/movement, pain that originally started around belly button. More information plz: When does it hurt? Is there a time of the day when the pain is present or worse? Does eating make it better or worse? Is it related to a particular food? Are you having normal bowel movements? The first thing I would recommend is to keep a food and symptom log for several days. Write down everything you eat and when the pain happens.
