I am 20 and I have severe pain in my lower left abdominal pain and been nauseous and have really bad headaches. What could this be?
See your Doctor: Any severe abdominal pain should be evaluated as soon as possible. At your age common problems are benign ovarian cysts, but there are a host of other possibilities. Either way see a physician as soon as possible.
High acidity: Sounds like Gastritis, reflux. Avoid alcohol, spicy food, hot temperature foods, citrus, vinegar, caffeine, tomato-based products, chocolate, spearmint or peppermints, steaks. Start using over-the-counter Nexium, (esomeprazole) or Prilosec in the morning and over-the-counter Zantac or Pepcid at night. You can use TUMS in between the day. The diets adherence is key. If you have no relief with guidance 2 to 4 weeks you definitely need to see a doctor

More detailed history and an examination would be needed to give a more specific answer.
Colon? Kidney? Gyne?: Diverticulitis commonly causes sharp left lower abdominal pain, inflammatory colitises can cause symptoms. Obstruction. Constipation. Kidney issues. Herniae? Ovarian cysts? Because your symptoms are worsening, and if there is associated tenderness, you should be examined by a physician tonight.
I'm having dull lower left abdominal pain after I started running about an hour everyday. What could be the reasons. Male, 30, 150lbs?
Lower left pain: Most likely musculoskeletal issue. Could be a groin strain. Would stop running for awhile to see if it gets better. If so and stays away no issue. If pain comes back with exercise you should be checked for a groin hernia or even a "sports hernia" which is harder to diagnose and more controversial as far as treatment.
31/ m. Lower left abdominal pain for two days. Had diaharea and un-controlled bm yesterday at onset of pain. Pain seems to be getting worse.
See your doctor: The symptoms could be due to a variety of things - a viral gastroenteritis, colitis (inflammation of the colon) or possibly diverticulitis (an inflammation of sacs which have herniated from the large intestine). While viral gastroenteritis is self limiting in a few days, the latter two may worsen with increased and localized symptoms. If this occurs, you should see your doctor.

LLQ pain: Llq pain be caused by a multitude of things. It could diverticular disease, kidney stone, bladder distension, pelvic pain, ectopic pregnancy. Avoid mild for now. Watch for increased pain, fever, vomiting, black or red stools. Two days of diarrhea are not necessary a red flag for the more serious things I have mentioned. Try a brat diet for a few days (bananas, rice, apple sauce and toast) low fibe.

Wide differential: In a young woman this could be pain from ovulation, an ovarian cyst, constipation, excess gas. Less likely diverticulitis Which is seen with fever and typically in middle age patients or older with diverticulosis. The nature of your pain also depends on the time frame, precipitated, alleviating factors, and associated symptoms. See your doctor if this is a chronic issue. Time to get help...: Abdominal pain is never normal, ; significant pain even less so. Lots of things cause llq (left lower quadrant) abdominal pain--see earlier healthtap answers. When pain is severe as you report, don't delay in seeking evaluation ; getting treated.
Many body parts...: The left lower abdomen has muscles of the abdominal wall (and the nerves coming out of the spinal cord, going to the muscles), part of the large intestine (colon), the ureter from the left kidney to the bladder, part of the small intestine, the left ovary (lower down), etc... Pain can come from a variety of problems, so anything other than mild brief pain should be evaluated by a doctor.
