Need more info: This is impossible to answer without doing an exam on this patient. If there is a visible mass on the outside of the abdomen it would be different than a palpable mass inside the abdomen. In either case, more tests may be needed to determine the diagnosis. Lump in abdomen: It's hard to tell what it could be. I would watch for any symptoms: enlarging size, pain, nausea/vomiting, chances in stool (either constipation or diarrhea). It wouldn't be a bad idea to see your doc and get it evaluated. ...Read more
