Yes you should seek immediate help, the er would be your next step. Any reason why you have to wait to see the dentist? I would strongly suggest you call the dental office and have them see you right away. At the er you may just get another antibiotic and or a shot for the infection, at the dentist you will get actual treatment and is cheaper.
