Core exercise: Push-ups, holding a plank position and squats and lunges build a strong core and upper body and lower body strength when done regularly.

Cardio Mix: You can not target the abdomen specifically for weight loss - if you have adipose tissue to lose (not everyone does), then consider an increase in cardio and a balanced diet. However, do not always do the same exercise or you will increase your risks for stress injuries. Mix things up with walking, running, biking, swimming, or circuit training. Ultimately you need to burn more than you consume.

Refer to answer: You do not need to a lot of exercise to loose weight. Eating right and not gmo is key to success. No cereals, whet, soy, corn, juices, sodas rey, and barley are the problems. Slowly will loose weight. Concentrate on loe salt cheese, almond and tahini butter.Also avocado, sesame, and flaxseed.

Low impact: Aquatics, body weight, or resistance bands/ tubing biking, and/or elliptical. Aquatics allow you to perform body weight exercises, but being in water actually reduces the stress on your body due to buoyancy. Once you are able to perform body weight activities then look to add light resistance w/ bands/ tubing.

Weight training: You can build muscle mass in that area of the body by engaging in a systematic program of increased weigh training for the upper body. Best to start with a trainer. Avoid protein shakes, but eat healthy proteins, from nuts and beans, after each work-out.

Stationary bike: I really like the stationary bike as a form of exercise for knee replacement patients. Body weight is eliminated, quad strength is improved and weight can be lost, all at the same time.

Which lower body lifting exercises can I do with a meniscal injury. My doctor has cleared me for walking and stairs without a brace or krutches?

Need more info: Do you have a mensical tear? If you do and had a surgical menisectomy, usually my patients are walking within a few days, then stationary biking, then running in 3-4 weeks. Things like stairs and crouching are variable based on quad strength and body weight.

Knee pain: This can't be diagnosed with the information that is available. A history, physical examination & other studies may be needed to determine cause/causes. Can't tell you if soccer & ruby are safe without knowing more.
