Stretch and walk: Stretching and walking are the best for low back pain radiating to the leg. Lie on your back with one leg flat and bring the other knee up to your chest and hold for 10 seconds, then alternate legs. Repeat that 3 times. Do this every day. Try to walk at least 5 minutes 3 times a day. Ice and heat can help. Drink adequate fluids. If you tolerate them, you can take acetaminophen and/or naproxen.

Evaluate Low Back: If you are not improving have your doctor order a lumbar spine mri. Many times a herniated disc in the back can cause leg pain especially if you have not improved with the medications and physical therapy. If it is a herniated disc you may need evaluation from a spine specialist to determine what other options might be needed (injections, surgery, etc) to help reduce pain.See 1 more doctor answer
Right side low back pain radiating up being tteated for UTI with cipro (ciprofloxacin) gas or kidney stone?
Kidney: Right lower back pain with a urinary tract infection is a sign of possible infection moving into the kidney or a stone.
Get evaluated now.: This needs evaluation. There are several possible causes including a kidney stone, infection and even testicular lesions.
Back pain: I would rest the back and hamstrings so upper body exercises can be done for now. If you don't aggravate your back doing them. If you do, stop and take a rest for a week. May take some over the counter advil (ibuprofen) and a hot bath and massage may help relieve the muscle pains. If this does not help see your physician.See 1 more doctor answer
I am 44 and have been experiencing pain in the left side of my groin and some lower back pain. What might be the causes?
Pos. Lumbar cause: Possibilities include nerve irritation that originates in your lumbar spine that is irritating the nerves that distribute to your groin. It could also be a a type of a localized nerve irritation along the groin like ilioinguinal neuralgia. Other specialists may give other causes like intra-abdominal causes or like muscular or myofascial pain that is irritating your lumbar plexus.
Good time to eval: It is a good time to go in for a thorough interview, exam, and possibly some tests to help determine the cause and the best treatment plan. Good luck!
Difficult: Pain is tough. Is it acute or chronic? If acute consider first the bladder. Sometimes pain can have more than one cause, did the onset occur simultaneously? Could it be menstrually related. This is a difficult one. Try 2 aleve (naproxen) 2x per day and go with bladder treatment if having to pee at nigh more than twice. It may be in the back, radiating to groin, may be muscular? Good luck.See 1 more doctor answer
