Lower Back Pain Radiating Down Right Leg
I have been experiencing bad lower back pain, radiating down my left leg. I can't afford to go to my doctor...Any advice would be so appreciated!
Stretch and walk: Stretching and walking are the best for low back pain radiating to the leg. Lie on your back with one leg flat and bring the other knee up to your chest and hold for 10 seconds, then alternate legs. Repeat that 3 times. Do this every day. Try to walk at least 5 minutes 3 times a day. Ice and heat can help. Drink adequate fluids. If you tolerate them, you can take acetaminophen and/or naproxen. ...Read more

I'm having severe lower back pain. Pain goes down right leg and throbbs. Have history on protruding disk. Why is pain so severe?

I have had lower back pain which goes down my hip and right leg. The pain reaches down to my calf. What could be causing it? Muscle relaxers didn't work.
Could be disc: Agree with dr badgley that your description is of sciatica. Real question to be answered is whether a nerve root in lower back is compressed by a protruded or ruptured disc, or if a more peripheral pain generator such as sacro-iliac dysfnctn or piriformis syndrome may be the cause. Would not expect muscle relaxer to help here. You need to uncover causation, and treat the pain generator itself. ...Read more

I've lower back pain which is now raidiating down my right leg to toes (tingly). X-ray & bloods clear doc thinks bulging disc . What's the tingling?
Nerve irritation: In this case, one of your nerve roots is likely irritated by the bulging disc. The disc may have a tear and release chemical signals that will irritate a nearby nerve root, or even intermittently make contact and compress the root. The resultant stray signals from the root is the tingling. No need to see doctor unless tingling gets painful or leg becomes weak/numb & interferes with function. ...Read more

With a history of diabetes, especially if severe or uncontrolled, a rare but occasional cause of leg weakness is diabetic amyotrophy. This usually involved one or more nerves in the legs. It is different from peripheral neuropathy since you may experience weakness.
