Hello Doc, I missed my period by 9 days now, negative pregnancy test. But having lower back pain & extreme legs pain. Please suggest.

Missed period: Wouldn't hurt to try another pregnancy test, just to make sure. The pain may mean that your period is about to start today. You can try a heating pad on your lower abdomen. I often recommend ibuprofen, 600 mg every 6 hrs for that kind of cramping pain. You may need to stay home today and lie down for a few hours. Good luck. ...Read more

Period week late, pregnancy symp, but negative pregnancy test. Can I be pregnant? I'm having cramps, cravings and nausea, tender breast low back pain

Probably not...: The over the counter tests are very sensitive to pregnancy hormone, so if it's negative, then you probably aren't pregnant.

Your symptoms sound hormonal, and should abate/resolve once you begin to menstruate.

If you still don't menstruate, repeat the pregnancy test, and see your physician for further guidance. ...Read more

Ok I had sex 2 day b4 my ovulation, miss ny period, lower back pain, thick white discharge, negative pregnancy test. What the problem? Can I be preg?

Yes. May be pregnant: When did you run the HPT? Even though most are sensitive to pick up a pregnancy immediately following a missed period, I always tell patients to wait at least a few days or even a week beyond the expected period before running the test. In your case, if you have not run a 2nd test yet I would do that in a few days or a week more. If that is still negative and you miss next period see OB/GYN. ...Read more
