Ovarian cyst: Pain from the very insist would normally be filled in front and to one side or the other. However it is possible to have pain in the back from the cyst. Ovarian cysts again not the usual cause of miscarriages however, you can get a hemorrhagic corpus luteum cyst which lowers the Progesterone level which leads to miscarriage. Unlikely: Lifetime risk of cancer is 1 in 60-90. Small odds. It usually strikes women after the age of 45. There are other findings on an ultrasound that can suggest if its a benign or malignant looking cyst. if your gyn feels its safe to follow in 6 weeks, thats a normal approach.
