Specific strengthening/ strengthening and nsaids can be beneficial. A physical exam by a dr., +/- xray, +/- MRI will likely provide the answer. The many possibilities, some being internal, are reasons to see the dr. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I'm 24 and have been have a lot of lower back pain mostly on the left side even hurts to bend over i was wondering what could be going on?
Diagnosis: Most cases I see are due to sitters disease or gait (ex; foot position). But you need to identify the origin and rule out more serious causes. Any neurologic issues like numbness in the legs, no muscle weakness, no fever, no urinary pain, fever, genital discharge, acute trauma, insect bites, etc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TO8Il3vdxQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6SXiDCMP3E ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

MRI?: If you have pain radiating into your legs, or you have numbness, tingling, or weakness in your legs- you should be checked out by a spine specialist and likely get an mri. Even if you don't have symptoms in you legs, assuming you have tried conservative options, you should probably get looked at by a pain specialist or physiatrist, and still possibly need an mri. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My lower back pain has gotten to the point where i'm having problems moving around. Worse yet is i can't wipe after going number two b/c i can't bend!
Muscularskeletal : Although there are other possibilities the most likely are an inflammation of what is called a facet joint, disc bulge or herniation, lumbar sprain or trigger points. I would begin treatment with drugs like advil (ibuprofen) which are ant inflammatory and analgesic, a muscle relaxant, physical therapy and possibly chiropractic care. An MRI to follow if needed. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I am having severe lower back pain made worse when i bend over. Do you have any idea what caused this?
Disc pain: Pain in the low back made worse with bending forward is typically a problem with the lumbar disc (because more pressure is put through the disc in this position) or just simply the muscles in the lumbar spine (as they contract to keep someone from falling over). A vertebral compression fracture is also possible, but is more common in patients over 55 secondary to osteoporosis. ...Read more

IBS: Sounds like IBS, perhaps with constipation-predominant symptoms. Would recommend a hi fiber diet, with a psyllium supplement (like Konsyl or similar) and perhaps a probiotic like Activia yogurt or Schiff Digestive Advantage.
