I go to sleep at night no problem. I wake up in the morning having to urinate and it feels as if my left side of my abdomen is full with lower back pain. When I urinate pain goes away. What is it?

Yes: The straining associated with constipation can cause increased pressure on the lower spine which could potentially aggravate a back condition.

GI ISSUES AND PAIN: These symptoms could have totally independent origins such as irritable bowel disease co-existing with lumbar degenerative disk disease. However, you should check for changes in the color of the stools and if it seems oily as these my indicate problems arising from the gall bladder and/or the pancreas which may give both symptoms. I just recently started having lower back pain on both sides only when I have a bowel movement. What could it be?
I have lower Back pain which radiates to my sides. It's painful to sleep and stand from sitting. Bowel movements give short relieve. What could it be?
Yes: Straining with bowel movements can increase you intrabdominal pressure which can exacerbate back pain and can also worsen pain that may be resulting from a disc herniation. Talk with you pcp about your issue. They may recommend a stool softener or even a laxative to help alleviate the bowel issues. They can also help determine if there is some other source to your back pain.
I have had hemmorhoid surgery & I'm getting lower back pain as well as pain from bowel movements. Is this normal after 3 weeks? .
Hemmorhoids: People present after surgery with pain and this can actually be the issue preventing a normal bowel movement. There are dietary, behavioral, hygiene modifications as well as procedures that can help these common problems. It is best if you consult with your surgeon to help with ruling out other issues like an infection or a fissure. Needs a Physical: Your husband needs a physical with labs to start to figure out why he has this pain in the morning. Most concerning would be cardiac, but this could also be gastric reflux. Need more information, exam, labs and EKG.

1st, why RU gassy?: Feeling full of "gas" may reflect malabsorption of food (like gluten, lactose), intake of poorly digested food, or choosing foods known to promote gas (beans, fizzy drinks). Sometimes its more complicated--a stomach emptying too slowly, bacterial overgrowth syndrome, delayed intestinal function, partial obstruction from any cause, infection, rectum problems, and pelvic pathology outside the gut.
I had a C-section a week and 2 days ago I am have horrible lower back pain and also having a hard time with bowel movements. What could it be?
Many possibilities: Low back pain and constipation 9 days after a cesarean. Constipation is common after a cesarean, due to pain meds and not moving as much. Make sure you are using a good stool softener such as senna and drinking lots of water. Back pain could be from constipation, bladder/kidney infection, soreness from where epidural or spinal was. Call your doc and get seen.
