After improving you should be able to return to same weight, unless it does it again. ...Read more

Stretch out: I get the same thing and I am the same age....just stretch out before you start work (hamstrings, lower back etc) and continue to do this daily. I know it sounds funny to "warm-up" before work but you and I are not getting younger and we lose flexibility as we age so stretch it out. Could be: You would first want to make sure that your pain that is worst in the morning is not because of something other than muscle tightness such as a developing spinal condition. Muscle spasms in lower back with pulling sensation and sciatica type pain in legs,no disks problems but really tight hamstrings could this be the caus?
Causes of sciatica: There are causes for sciatica besides disc problems. Hypertrophied muscle or spasm can push on the sciatic nerve causing pain to radiate down leg. The muscle can be in the lower back or pelvis. Since it appears that there is no serious structural problem, then physical therapy is the best way to get muscles and ligaments to relax and stretch and reduce pressure on sciatic nerve. ...Read more

Spinal stenosis: Reduced tolerance to standing and/or walking may be an indication that you could have spinal stenosis (narrowing of your spinal canal). Like you, patients with stenosis typically have improvement of their symptoms when they bend forward. This is called a positive cart sign because leaning forward against a shopping cart can help open up the canal and can, therefore, lead to symptom improvement. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Sprain/strain: At your age, the most common reason for paraspinal muscle pain would be sprain/strain. This can happen even if you don't recall the exact injury. Spasm: Absolutely, spasm can reduce blood flow and cause pain/aching in the leg. Not sure why you had the steroid IM shot though.
