May be significant: Abdomenal pain with runny stools in your age group could indicate inflammatory bowel disease(ibd). Blood in stools is always abnormal. You need a colonoscopy at the minimum and this could tell the tale. It may be something as simple as hemorrhoids, but with runny stools, especially if there is weight loss, is more indicative of ibd. See a good gastroenterologist or colo-rectal surgeon. ...Read more

More info needed: Persistent right lower abdominal discomfort could be due to an inflamed appendix, an inflamed segment of intestine(ileitis) or right ovarian problems. If the discomfort is persistent and/or worsening, it definitely calls for an examination by your physician who would order the appropriate blood tests, ultrasound, etc. ...Read more

I have lower abdominal pain nearly all the time but it is worse in the morning upon waking and worse when I bend over or squat.

Many possibilities: You really need to talk to your doctor and be examined. Bladder infection, ovarian issues, appendicitis, hernia... it's a long list of possibilities and the doctor will ask you for more information, examine you, check your urine and consider lab or imaging tests that may be helpful. ...Read more
