You may also have a generalized infection, such as the flu or strep throat, that affects many parts of your body. The intensity of the pain does not always reflect the seriousness of the condition causing the pain. Low abdominal pain: Is this pain new or different from your previous pain experience? If it is, I would recommend seeing a physician as soon as possible. A few days is a long time to experience pain without relief.
