Need exam: Lower abdominal pain and pain with intercourse that didn't start until 6 months after your hysterectomy is unlikely to be due to the hysterectomy. Normally these symptoms would have started sooner if the hysterectomy was the cause. You need to be seen for a full history, exam, and possibly testing to find the cause. Hope this helps.

See your gyne MD: There are a number of possibilities, depending in part, what the reason was for your partial hysterectomy and when it was done. While possibly not related at all, your gynecologist should evaluate this initially, with a physical exam and ultrasound. This could be a problem with the uterus (recurrence), the ovary, adhesions from surgery, urinary tract infection or a gastrointestinal issue.

Possible causes: If you still have your ovaries, they could be the cause; also could be an intestinal problem, or even your gallbladder (which can refer pain to the right shoulder). Appendicitis is a possible cause. Uncommon ovarian tumors can cause these symptoms.

Your: Your symptoms are very concerning and you need a full gynecological workup. Even though you had a full hysterectomy, you may still have a cervix, and that can cause problems. Other vaginal problems can cause bleeding. Please call your ob-gyn and arrange a complete evaluation. If you have increased bleeding, pain, or light-headedness/fainting, then you would need to be seen as an emergency.

It: It is important to know if you still have your ovaries, which sometimes are taken out or sometimes are left in with a hysterectomy. I am glad to know though that your ultrasound and ct scan were normal. Be sure you are using plenty of lubrication during intercourse. Be sure you have had a complete pelvic exam and that your pap smear is up to date. If your symptoms persist please see your gynecologist for another evaluation.

Have rt lower abdomen pain has had appendix, gallbladder, part hysterectomy & back surgery an have small ovarian cyst. What could pain be?

Hard to say: There are many possibities and usually a detailed exam and appropriate studies can determine the cause. Among some of the possibilities include diverticulitis, scar tissue from your prior surgery, a hernia, an irritation from a nerve in your back above where you had your previous back surgery just to name a few. I would encourage you to be seen.
