Need exam: Lower abdominal pain and pain with intercourse that didn't start until 6 months after your hysterectomy is unlikely to be due to the hysterectomy. Normally these symptoms would have started sooner if the hysterectomy was the cause. You need to be seen for a full history, exam, and possibly testing to find the cause. While possibly not related at all, your gynecologist should evaluate this initially, with a physical exam and ultrasound. It: It is important to know if you still have your ovaries, which sometimes are taken out or sometimes are left in with a hysterectomy. I am glad to know though that your ultrasound and ct scan were normal. Be sure you are using plenty of lubrication during intercourse.
