I have a gout for 3 weeks now and still don't go away. Im taking colchicine and febuxostat. What else should I do. Im on low purine diet.
Treatment of Gout: There are 2 types of treatment for gout. One type of treatment are medications(e.G . Colchicine) decreased the symptoms of inflammation such as pain and swelling. Gout? Beer 1X month, shellfish cause bodywide fasciculations, pain, and tingling of extremities. I do good on a low purine diet. No swelling or heat.

If gout is the issue it's more important to reduce sugar and especially high fructose corn syrup intake. Gout comes from an inefficient or impaired liver. I did find a list at acumedico.com/purine.htm which is quite extensive, and while I have no reason to doubt its reliability, I have no way to substantiate it either. Moderately high: Calamari is moderately high in purines. They are not nearly as high as organ meats, sardines and anchovies, but are moderately high so should be minimized.
