Relax: You're a grown man so presumably you get checked for HIV maybe once a year. Everybody has a few palpable nodes in their neck; they're your friends. You may have met a minor virus of some sort and fought it off. You're entitled to have a few percent ayptical / reactive lymphs and be healthy. Relax and be thankful. ...Read more

Swollen glands: Are these glands sore, any fever or sore throat, any other swollen glands in other locations? Was a throat culture done? Any skin or eye changes? There are so many causes for enlarged lymph nodes, CBC alone does not give enough information, what was the platelet count?. If these glands persisted you should take your son back to his pediatrician for follow up & additional workup. Good luck ...Read more
