What does it mean when you have a low hard cervix but your period is not due until next month but I'm not sure if it's open or close?

What does it mean when you have a low hard cervix but your period is not due until next month but I'm not sure if it's open or close?

Means nothing: Cervical position essentially means nothing. This is not something that obgyns evaluate in a nonpregnant woman. There is no reason to be making any sort of health decisions based on the way your cervix feels. The cervix stays basically closed until one goes into labor.

Is it possible to get a positive pregnancy test with a low, hard cervix? Or is that no way to tell at all? When does your cervix change in pregnancy?

Yes yes and varies: It's possible to have a positive pregnancy test regardless of what the cervix feels like. The location and consistency of the cervix is no way to tell if there is a pregnancy. A pregnancy test is the way to tell if there is a pregnancy. The cervix can change right away or not until later. It's different for each woman.

Low hard cervix in early pregnancy im 5 weeks with my 5 th is this normal I also have a tipped uterus?

Low hard cervix in early pregnancy im 5 weeks with my 5 th is this normal I also have a tipped uterus?

Mild uterus prolapse: It is possible since this is the 5th pregnancy and the cervix is low and hard, that there is some uterine prolapse and the uterus is sitting lower in the pelvis than usual. A tipped back uterus often causes the cervix to be lower and easier to feel. Probably not a problem, but have your doc do an exam.

What does it mean if cervix is low, hard, slightly closed and wet

What does it mean if cervix is low, hard, slightly closed and wet

Not much: Cervical position and consistency is subjective, variable and not particularly relevant. It varies by age, number of pregnancies and timing in the menstrual cycle. It’s not something you need to be paying attention to unless you are in labor. If you are experiencing vaginal discharge then schedule a visit for testing.

Is your cervix supposed to be high and low also very open soft at bottom and hard at top?

Is your cervix supposed to be high and low also very open soft at bottom and hard at top?

Not really: I assume that you are asking about someone who is not pregnant. If pregnant then different answer. Everyone's cervix is slightly different just like our noses, ears and the rest of us. There is no real normal.

Why is my cervix low and hard?

Why is my cervix low and hard?

Cervix in pregnancy: These descriptions of your cervix after your pelvic exam mean that you are not ready for labor. The uterus is not changing in preparation for labor and delivery of your new baby.

1 day late my cervix is hard and low a bit open?

If you wonder if you: Are pregnant - rather than palpating your cervix - it is much easier and more reliable just to take a home pregnancy test.

My cervix was high and soft this morning now its low and firm?

Why: The main question is why are you repeatedly checking the location and consistency of your cervix?

My cervix are practically unreachable soft and closed... They are always low and firm what could this be?

Cervix: This is the end of the uterus extending into the vagina and is at the top of the vaginal barrel. You can feel it with your fingers in some positions, but whether or not you are actually touching your cervix is unclear from what you wrote. If you are concerned about this, or think you may be pregnant, test yourself, or go and see an ob/gyn doctor.

What does a low, slightly firm, and closed cervix mean in mid cycle? I'm 21 days past my 45 60 day cycle. Is that normal?

Probably: Why do you have it checked? Is there is a problem or just a routine female exam. The findings you describe are not impressive and if you have no symptoms, I would not do a thing!

4wks prego but cervix is still low, not hard but not too soft either can't tell if cervix is open. Heard it's supposed to be high and soft Is this bad.

Early PG cervix: Expectations are high in early pregnancy, but anatomical changes initially are slow. That includes cervical changes. Give it some time and BIG changes will occur in the 2nd trimester. The cervix should now be closed.

Cervical position: Lately I've noticed many people asking about cervical position on the internet. Honestly checking your cervical position when not pregnant has zero clinical value. There is no reason to do it. It is highly variable and means nothing. Cervical position in a non pregnant female is not something an obgyn pays attention to.
