I had a low grade fever, body aches, sore throat and threw up 3 times. Today I feel better. No fever and aches are gone. Could this be Ebola?

No -: What you have described is not the course of illness for Ebola. Early sx's: high fever, chills, sore throat, weakness, fatigue, malaise, headache, lack of appetite, low back pain & muscular /joint aching. Sx's may progress to nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea (potentially bloody), marked weight loss, chest pain, coughing, hemorrhagic rash over the body, bruising, red + swollen eyes & >

I have been sick for 3 days-low grade fever, fatigue, body aches, inability to sleep due to anxiety and delusions, fatigue, body aches, sore throat?

? Influenza: Although this is an unusual time of year to to have influenza, or a flu-like viral infection, this is possible. What is of concern are the anxiety, delusions and insomnia. You are in an area of the U.S. In which lyme disease is prevalent. Strongly suggest you see your doctor and get diagnosed one way or another. Hope you are better soon.

Stopping smoking: Is a wonderful thing to do. Congratulations and keep at it. Please see your doctor. Cancer is way down on the list of possibilities. He/she will examine you and you can have peace of mind. Peace and good health.

Probably viral so...: This is almost certainly a viral infection. Most doctors won't be able to offer anything besides symptomatic relief. I advise Umcka, available at any health food store and some pharmacies, an herbal medicine proven to help sinus infections. Also try Andrographis, Astragalus, Vitamin C, Zinc lozenges., rest and fluids. Best to not try to lower the fever. If not better in a week then see a dcotor.

Lump on left side of neck for 2 weeks 3 new lumps on the right side of my neck night sweats low grade fever sore throat very tired. Drs opinion?

Viral infection: It is likely you are reacting to a viral infection, which is almost endemic this time of year. It is "good" that the lymph swelling is bilateral, it tells that you are reacting systemically to the virus, and the same with the low grade fever. The lymph glands take quite a while to reduce. If worsens, see md.

I have a rash on my chest, neck and chin that is grainy and slightly red. I have had low-grade fever, sore throat and head ache. What could it be?

Could be viral: But I always get concerned about Strep throat and the rash from Strep when I hear about symptoms like yours. I strongly recommend you get a throat culture and if positive, treat with oral antibiotic.

Hello.: Hello. You may have a viral infection. They are usually treated symptomatically. Consider hydrating really well with water (at least 8 8 ounce glasses per day). Gargle with warm salt water at least several times a day. A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory can hlep with fever and aches. In terms of upset stomach, consider drinking (sipping) slightly flattened ginger ale or nibbling on small pieces of crystalized giner. You can also make ginger tea by steeping freshly sliced organic ginger in boiling water for at least 5 minutes. If you have a temp of 100 or higher or symptoms last a week or more, recommend seeking medical attention.

Sore throat, low grade fever, congestion in nose--is it strep?

Sore throat, low grade fever, congestion in nose--is it strep?

Probably a cold: It sounds more like a common cold, especially because of the nasal congestion. The only way to know for sure is with a strepmtestbor throat culture.

Sounds viral: It sounds like you have a viral illness and this may last for a week or so. In the absence of worsening symptoms you are best treated with hydration, rest and symptomatic over-the-counter therapy.

What can cause swollen lymp nodes in neck, a low grade fever, and a sore throat every month for almost a year?

What can cause swollen lymp nodes in neck, a low grade fever, and a sore throat every month for almost a year?

See your doctor: You need a good history and physical. The symptoms you present are nonspecific enough that answers could range from cancer to chronic fatigue. To parasites. Write down your symptoms, the timing and duration, and how they impact your daily life. Bring the list with you. Best wishes.

An URI: An upper respiratory infection possibly, even a sinus infection. You should be seen by your physician for a examination and appropriate treatment.

Low grade fever, heavy head, headache, slightly sore throat, congested feeling-- for 4 days. Started taking omneprazole for 4 days. What could it be?

Fever and headache: You need to be examined. Upper respiratory and sinus infection can present in this manner, and requires treatment other than omeprazole. Blood studies, a throat culture, and some antibiotics are in order when the offending agent is identified.

How would you treat a strep carrier that developed low grade fever with no sore throat? Would you give antibiotic? Which one?

How would you treat a strep carrier that developed low grade fever with no sore throat? Would you give antibiotic? Which one?

Do history and exam: If history suggests viral agent with nasal congestion and cough, then observation and Rx fever only would be appropriate for a person who is a strep carrier. However, many individuals do not complain of sore throat with strep, but on exam have a red palate, enlarged tonsils and cervical adenopathy. I would treat with amoxicillin or cephalosporoin or clindamycin.
