Day 1 cough with chest pain day 2 runny nose cough achy tired body low grade fever at night day 3 fine during day then at night fever and shivering ?
Low grade fever 99-100.3. went in high powered sunbed for 8 min 1st time (3 recommended) That night low grade fever. Skin red& hurts next day. This is the 2/3rd day with fever. Resting and taking liquids. Why fever? Sign of hot body or infection?

Get seen urgently: I recommend this child be seen urgently in a pediatric ER setting. I don't like the description of the mental status. Even if this were a low-grade viral infection of upper respiratory tract, ear, or G.I. the baby should still be irritable, cranky, and feeding.
