Need more info: What's low grade? Recurring fever is usually a sign of a significant problem, especially if you have other symptoms or problems. Some infections such as malaria can do this, relapsing mediterranean fever (rare). Some inflammatory condition even like rheumatoid arthritis can do it. Some cancers like lymphoma come to mind. More to this...: While igg deficiency can predispose you to infection and other symptoms, it probably doesn't explain your symptoms. Although the tests you have had done are negative, it is quite possible that you there are additional tests that would shed light on this. Need more info: If she has really seen a dozen doctors and they have not solved this, there is no way in which a diagnosis can be made without a detailed history, physical exam and review of all prior records. If she really has fevers (temp >100f) and can document the weight loss would suggest that she see an infectious diseases expert. Sounds ill and needs full evaluation. If you have actually had fevers (temps reaching 100f or failing to get as low as 98.6 in 24 hr periods) you have a fever of undetermined origin, and there are dozens or more potential diagnoses, most non-infectious, but the person to see about this would be an infectious diseases expert.
