Follow up: Viral infections usually run it's course by 5 to 7 days. If this persists beyond five days, I would follow up with your primary care physician and get evaluated. May not be pneumonia: If you are an otherwsie healthy patient the liklhood that you would have recurrent infection with the sam bacteria is not lilely. More likely is that you have an ellemnt of allergies or possibly asthma that predispose to prolonged and recurrent episodes of congestion.
