Can modafinil cause low grade fever?

Tb blood tested negative but TB skin testd positive, what is that mean? Continuous low grade fever, swollenlumpnodes, sore thrt, HIV PCR RNA negative.

Contradictory Tb tst: Quantiferon-TB(the blood test) and the PPD(skin test) are not recommended together. The quantiferon test has more sensitivity/specificity(measures for how good medical tests are) but the gold standard is culturing the bacteria from either tissue or sputum which should be attempted if their is clinical suspicion for TB infection. ...Read more

If you are really bothered by it you can take Aspirin or tylenol every 4-6 hours to suppress it. ...Read more

Could be others: Depending on your exposure to ticks in your neck of the woods, you should have also been tested for other tick-borne illnesses since they travel in packs (Anaplasma, Babesia, Human granulocytic/monocytic Erlichiosis, others). If not tested, you could have one of these other infections, including Lyme, or else it my be entirely different diagnosis. It's best to get it evaluated by a doctor. ...Read more

If a child age 5 has a low grade fever on monday and on wednesday she gets a shower, how long do you need to wait before she goes out after said shower?

Dr. Ronda Dennis-Smithart

No waiting: It is a myth that sick/feverish people shouldn't bathe. There are no reasons to limit bathing/showers during or after fever. In fact, many people like a warm bath or shower to ease their discomfort and the humidity relieves congestion. Once your child is dried off and dressed, he/she can go outdoors. ...Read more
