Not conclusive proof: Current thinking is: the sugar and simple carbohydrates are the enemy, not the fat. It is not conclusive proof (conclusive proof is very, very hard to come by). It will take many more years to see what happens after our population gets off sugar and simple carbs, and eats a variety of fats... and then researchers will try to figure out the new results.
