Lexapro (escitalopram): You are right about this particular property frequently reported about escitalopram. However, this has been mostly considered a positive effect. Have glass of wine at dinner and 3 hours later take. 5 mg ativan (lorazepam) for sleeping. Dr said alcohol with such a low dose of ativan (lorazepam) is not a problem. Okay?
Should be okay: The combination of Aspirin and Lorazepam does not seem alarming to any extent although I would caution that the propensity to fall while taking Lorazepam for some individuals would make the risk of serious bleed increased. This would be significant in the context of severe head trauma potentially leading to intracranial bleeding. This could be catastrophic although very rare. Stay safe! ...Read more
I have weaned myself down to 0.25 of ativan (lorazepam) a day been on that for 3 days now when can I stop it and have no withdrawls or won't I since its a low dose?
Can stop soon: If you've not had exposure to Ativan (lorazepam) or other benzodiazepine type drugs in the past, then three days of Ativan (lorazepam) at 0.25 per day is not high enough to create significant withdrawal concerns. You can simply stop it after three day without concern for much withdrawal. ...Read more

I took7 mg of ativan (lorazepam) last dose on the 27th will my urine be clean by the 12th. L? I don't use all the time
HIGH Ativan (lorazepam) dose: 7 mg of Ativan (lorazepam) is a very high dose, so you must have a big tolerance for it whether or not you "use all the time." ativan's half-life is 10-20 hours, longer in women. This means it will be approximately 5 half-lives, or at least 100 hours to eliminate the medicine from your system. It sounds like you could be using Ativan (lorazepam) for other than prescribed purposes -- not healthy for you in long run. ...Read more
Am I likely to develop health problems from taking a very low dosage of ativan (lorazepam) just as needed for anxiety?
If I still have racing thoughts after taking normal dose of Ativan, do I need to take more? Not more than prescribed though
Maybe: Ativan is a sedative like Valium which calms the mind and feelings of anxiety. It is dose related. So sometimes a higher dose is needed, but with caution. It is habit forming. Racing thoughts can be from anxiety but other things like bipolar or even some Meds. Check it out with your doctor. Ativan treats symptoms. It is not a long term fix. But can be a big help on your way to finding one. ...Read more

I tried reducing my daily dose of Ativan (lorazepam) from 1.5mg to 1.25mg. Next day I felt terrible. Resumed 1.5mg dose. 2 days later still feel in withdrawal.?
Talk w/ provider: Changing dose levels of psychotropics needs to be done w/ the prescriber. The w/drawal symptoms are not unique to w/drawal and might only have been coincidentally related in time. You may have some other illness - even some virus or flu that just hit at this time. Have a consult and maybe an exam. Plan w/ them on reductions in medication. I hope you can achieve your goal. ...Read more
