Is a 100 dose sertraline high dose?

Is a 100 dose sertraline high dose?

Depends: on your treatment goals. Typically doses can go higher (200 mg +) if treating depression. But there is a wide dosage range that is therapeutic, in my experience, since every person is different. If you feel better on 100 mg. and have no side effects, that's the best dose for you. Don't worry about a "standard" dose. Take care. ...Read more

Help! Is 3300mg of Xeloda (capecitabine) a high or low dose?

IT VARIES: Xeloda (capecitabine) is usually dosed at 825 - 1250 mg/m2 twice daily x 14 days depending on regimen used. It can be given alone, with radiation or with other chemotherapy drugs. To calculate dose we use Body Surface Area (BSA) x mg to get actual dose. I assume you are saying 3300 mg total daily dose. For example: 1800 mg in am + 1500 mg in pm - sounds right. Talk to your Oncologist too. ...Read more

Pt on 150mcg of synthroid (thyroxine) for hypothyroidism Palliative pt Can one taper to a lower dose if T4 has stabilized? and TSH is starting to decrease?

Hypothyroid: The patient will be much more comfortable without the symptoms of hypothyroidism, namely the extra fatigue. Why taper the dose unless there are hyperthyroid symptoms.
