Probably: I would like to see your blood pressure below 120 systolic at your age. If this measurement is the same on more than 2 occasions, you should consider measuring your own BP at home periodically since you are at risk of developing high blood pressure as you get older. Took bp at home with electronic machine. Battery was low and died right after results of 120/101. Never have a diastolic that high from low battery?
Buy a new battery!!!: If battery was low & died, ignore that reading & stop worrying about weird/strange numbers. Instead, go buy a new battery & proceed from there. No need to speculate on impact of low/dead battery. Don't forget to rest at least 5min before checking. Repeat at least twice more then average these 3 readings. Depends: "too low" implies that it is a problem. 70 is lower than average but would not raise an eyebrow. 50-60 is unusual and would lead me to think, why? If you feel well it is probably not a problem. But if the diastolic pressure is on the low side, i would consider things that might cause that even if the patient is well.
