Possibly: Depends on how severe your cardiomyopathy is. High salt consumption could make the heart failure worse, causing shortness of breath. Highly Unlikely!: Hypotension drives dizziness, slowness of mental function, etc; dyspnea (shortness of breath) very unlikely. Dyspnea typically a result of exercise, anxiety &/or increased congestion in lungs, as perceived in brain. Having a "normal" echo or MRI does no exclude this because they do not reveal diastolic function, pulmonary venous pressures or air flow; only possibly changes of chronic elevation. ...Read more
