It depends.: Kicking out can be the worst thing or the best thing. When it is necessary, hopefully other treatments, programs, interventions have been tried, and the situation is deemed dire. It is a last resort. Even then it should be presented in a caring matter. "Tough love" otherwise? It depends on what you mean, but it may be sensible, provided that biological aspects of addiction are not lost sight of. ...Read more
