Wheezing: Noisy breathing, cough and ?Wheezing are signs of asthma. Viral illness/cold can give rise to similar symptoms. Cough more than 2 weeks need evaluation by pediatrician. Infant are obligatory nose breather up to 6 month. If nasal blockage, they have hard time breathing, feeding. Make sure there is no nasal blockage; if so, put 2-3 drops saline nasal drop and suck with bulb syringe. ...Read more

Nasal Congestion: You are describing nasal congestion and it is possible the noisy breathing may be caused by that. Clear her secretions to see if that helps her breathing. If her breathing continues to be noisy, if she is working hard to breath, if she has fever or is not feeding well she needs to be seen by her doctor. This does not cause colic. She sleeps whenever: The amount of sleep may not change but habbit of sleep will over time. When young, u have to work and have other responsibilties to accomplish during day, thus needing to sleep at night. At 92, she does not have to get up early, so sleeps whenever she wants, naps whenever convenient. As long as she feels well and active when up, she is fine. She got to 92! she sleeps when she needs it! :-)). ...Read more

Laryngomalacia: Usually it is due to soft cartilage of the voice box, and or the wind pipe. If that is true, lying the baby on her stomach would improve the noise.
