Do lotions help to avoid stretch marks during pregnancy? Some women swear by them and some don't. I've read that it's a genetic thing. What does work?
Probably not.: Keeping your skin hydrated is always a good thing, but it's no guarantee that you will avoid stretch marks. The wt gain problem: Avoid excessive/rapid wt gain and minimize long hot shower/bath, minimize use of body washes/scrubbing, use of humidifer in winter/cold season, and minimize use of meds if not needed.
