I've been on the hCG diet for one week so far and I am getting really hungry. I have cheated by eating nuts. Will this stop me form losing weight?

Yes: You must follow the diet originally created by dr. Simeon. If you are getting hungry than you are not on real HCG or the proper dose. The only way to do this diet is under supervision of a qualified physician and strict adherence to the original 500 calorie diet. When done the right way, you will not be hungry. The wrong nuts have high fat content which is counter to the diet. ...Read more

Not losing weight: Hcg is not approved by fda as weight loss med due to concerns of safety & effectiveness supposed to be used with ultra-low-calorie diet (less than 500). It can overstimulate ovaries & cause edema & weight gain. Fda believes wt loss solely due to caloric restriction. See fp, who will probably advise stopping HCG & lower caloric intake. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/calorie-calculator/nu00598. ...Read more

HCG weight loss: No one can survive really on a 500 calorie diet (at least not happily or for long ). While on the HCG diet although you consume 500 calories per day, your body is able to derive the rest of it's caloric needs from its extensive fat reserves. Your body burns calories to breathe, for your heart to pump even for the act of eating itself. I would not advise any kind dieting if you have a normal bmi. ...Read more

If I am now 5'7 weighing 180 pounds. How much weight can I expect to lose on a 30 day hCG diet?

Not a safe diet: If it works, it's only because of the severe calorie restriction the diet recommends, which is not safe. You are putting yourself at risk and the weight loss won't be sustainable. ...Read more

Do u sugest me to use hCG diet drops, because am overweight, and i want to loose weight fast in may be 1mnth, am 88kg and i want to reduce almost 30kgs.

Lose weight fast: Well, the goal should be to lose weight in a healthy way. Losing weight rapidly with a diet or pill is a setup for failure, or the yo-yo effect (when you stop the diet you regain the weight back plus more). Eat healthy (cutting back on carbs and sugar) and do cardiovascular exercise (not walking but running, cycling, swimming, elliptical, zumba, etc). You can still lose weight quickly doing this. ...Read more

I'm taking bioidentical hormones due to menapause and would like to do the hCG diet protocol to lose some weight, can I do both at the same time?

HCG: I am curious why a 36 year old would be on bioidentical hormones unless you had a surgical menopause. That being said, I have combined HCG with bioidenticals for my patients and they work fine together as the HCG is only around for 40 days. ...Read more
