Is it ok to lose my plug before 35 weeks?

Is it ok to lose my plug before 35 weeks?

As long as u don't: Go into labor that can happen, once u get to 37 weeks labor will not be stopped and make sure u call your provider asap if your water breaks because in that case you will need meds to get you in labor so the baby does not end up with an infection, good luck.

How long after I lose my plug will I go into labor?

How long after I lose my plug will I go into labor?

WHAT did your OB say: Any ?S like this - please ask your ob, it could be the same day or 3-weeks later it is variable, if you are 37 weeks or more- nothing to wory about, if your water breaks then call your OB right away and some advice from me who has delivered more than 5000 babies, a recent study says the ideal time to deliver is 39-40 weeks, safest for the baby, easy to induce, not worth going past due date.

How long after losing mucous plug will labor start?

ASK YOUR OB: All ?S like this should be directed to your OB ! since your OB will be delivering you, there is no set time could be 1or 2 days or 1- 3 or more weeks depending on how far along u are, my advice ( since I have done over 5k deliveries) do not go past your due date, not worth it, and a recent study showed the ideal time for the baby to be delivered is 39-40 weeks, induction is safe and easy.

37 weeks 3 1/2 CM 50% effaced losing mucus plug that is brownish or pink over last 3 days. Will I go into active labor soon?

Mucus plug: The mucus plug is usually dark green to brownish and the size of the palm of your hand. You're probably having some bloody show from last office exam. When you go into labor has more to do with your uterus being ready to go into labor. I imagine it may be from today to the next week or so, but there's no way to guarantee

How long after losing mucus plug do people usually go into labor? And can you go swimming after losing mucus plug? Asking for a friend.

How long after losing mucus plug do people usually go into labor? And can you go swimming after losing mucus plug? Asking for a friend.

Varies: Losing your mucus plug is a sign that early labor is approaching...This, however, could be within hours to 1-2 weeks. It is still okay for a pregnant woman to go swimming if she lost her mucus plug, as long as her bag has not ruptured (broke her water). She may lose more mucus plug in the pool, however, so for hygienic purposes, it may be best to avoid. Best wishes.

Obgyn visit: If you are concerned you might be in labor now then contact your doctor. Some people can stay 2 cm for weeks. Others will labor soon. When your doctor checks you the two of you can discuss your individual circumstance and discuss the likelihood of going in to labor.

How likely is it to go into labor without losing mucus plug or having bloody show but strong contractions?

How likely is it to go into labor without losing mucus plug or having bloody show but strong contractions?

Labor: If you are having strong contractions 3-5 minutes apart for an hour, you could be in labor, even without bloody show or loss of mucous plug. If they are not that close or for that long, try a warm bath, drink lots of water and see what happens. However, when in doubt, go check it out.

Is not there a risk of ascending bacteria when a pregnant women lose mucus plug and dont go into labor for days or weeks after?

Is not there a risk of ascending bacteria when a pregnant women lose mucus plug and dont go into labor for days or weeks after?

No: The barrier for protection for the baby is the amniotic sac. Should your "water beak" that would mean the sac had broken and amniotic fluid is leaking. That is when the increased risk of infection from ascending bacteria occurs if labor does not begin.

How soon is soon?: You are in the phase where labor could start today or may not happen for a couple of weeks. It is not possible to predict. Testing vaginal fluid for fetal fibronectin may help in prognostication.

Get exam of cervix: If you are concerned, report your symptoms of "clear mucus vaginal discharge" to your obstetrical team and request a clinical and sonographic evaluation of your cervix (to confirm it is still long and closed) and an examination of the discharge (to rule out a vaginitis or vaginosis).

Call you OB: Passing the mucus plug doesn't mean a whole lot, but a lot of women assume they are passing mucus plug and instead its meconium stained fluid. Call your OB/midwife and tell them you've been leaking something and may be having early labor. You probably need to be placed on the monitor to check for labor and examined to see if its fluid and to see if cervix dilated. Call this morning!
