Doctor insights on:
As long as u don't: Go into labor that can happen, once u get to 37 weeks labor will not be stopped and make sure u call your provider asap if your water breaks because in that case you will need meds to get you in labor so the baby does not end up with an infection, good luck.See 1 more doctor answer
WHAT did your OB say: Any ?S like this - please ask your ob, it could be the same day or 3-weeks later it is variable, if you are 37 weeks or more- nothing to wory about, if your water breaks then call your OB right away and some advice from me who has delivered more than 5000 babies, a recent study says the ideal time to deliver is 39-40 weeks, safest for the baby, easy to induce, not worth going past due date.See 1 more doctor answer
ASK YOUR OB: All ?S like this should be directed to your OB ! since your OB will be delivering you, there is no set time could be 1or 2 days or 1- 3 or more weeks depending on how far along u are, my advice ( since I have done over 5k deliveries) do not go past your due date, not worth it, and a recent study showed the ideal time for the baby to be delivered is 39-40 weeks, induction is safe and easy.

37 weeks 3 1/2 CM 50% effaced losing mucus plug that is brownish or pink over last 3 days. Will I go into active labor soon?
Mucus plug: The mucus plug is usually dark green to brownish and the size of the palm of your hand. You're probably having some bloody show from last office exam. When you go into labor has more to do with your uterus being ready to go into labor. I imagine it may be from today to the next week or so, but there's no way to guarantee

How long after losing mucus plug do people usually go into labor? And can you go swimming after losing mucus plug? Asking for a friend.
Varies: Losing your mucus plug is a sign that early labor is approaching...This, however, could be within hours to 1-2 weeks. It is still okay for a pregnant woman to go swimming if she lost her mucus plug, as long as her bag has not ruptured (broke her water). She may lose more mucus plug in the pool, however, so for hygienic purposes, it may be best to avoid. Best wishes.

Labor: If you are having strong contractions 3-5 minutes apart for an hour, you could be in labor, even without bloody show or loss of mucous plug. If they are not that close or for that long, try a warm bath, drink lots of water and see what happens. However, when in doubt, go check it out.

Call you OB: Passing the mucus plug doesn't mean a whole lot, but a lot of women assume they are passing mucus plug and instead its meconium stained fluid. You probably need to be placed on the monitor to check for labor and examined to see if its fluid and to see if cervix dilated. Call this morning!
