i am losing 3-5 lbs 38f. 285 lbs. i have changed my diet and walk about 3-4 miles a wk. does changing your diet warrant losing weight like that a week?

i found out i have fatty liver disease in march. i have changed my diet. i lose about ten lbs a month. could this be from something worse? i walk 2-3 times a week

Biliary colic

Gallstone attacks/biliary colic is right sided, above the umbilicus, lasts 20 minutes or longer, associated with nausea and occasional vomiting. A fatty liver can mimic gallstone attacks. That should be fine. Your BMI (body mass index) comes out to around 42 - ideal BMI should be 25 which equals 170lbs in your case but more important than the actual weight is that you maintain an steady diet and exercise regimen to work on losing weight over several years. If you lose weight your fatty liver will go away in most cases.

Supplements aren't

needed to lose weight. To lose weight insure that calories burned > calories consumed. Drink at least 8 - 8 oz glasses of water per day. Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables & 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol & junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic & weight lifting exercises.

I am 121 lbs 5'3 (female 19) . Would I be able to lose 16 lbs quickly, by running at least 4x a week for 1 hr?

Depending on how much muscle you have now, your weight might be fine. The Best Exercise

You need a minimum of 20 minutes per episode of exercise three to five times per week. This exercise should also be of moderate intensity: i.e. a heart rate of no more than 130 BPM. You should be able to still speak in full sentences when you exercise. This allows you to burn sugars and fats...the things you need to burn to lose weight.
