Losartan And Cough
The cough reflex is a protective mechanism that uses muscles in your throat and chest to expel mucous and saliva that may contain pathogens that would otherwise possibly be inhaled via aerosol or to expel pathogens infecting the throat and respiratory system. Cough benefits the host by reducing load and benefits the pathogen which may then spread via aerosol. ...Read more

33 yr old/female. Dizziness and lightheaded. Taking allegra d, symbicort (budesonide and formoterol) and pro-air. Blood pressure 95/60. Why dizziness?
BP a bit low: Your BP is a bit low which maybe causing your dizziness. If the dizziness occurs often from rapid change of position from laying to sitting or standing , then likely it is due to low bp. If dizziness associated with change of head position/rapid rotation or up/down position, it is possibly vertigo. Keep well hydrated and take it easy for couple of days. If not better, consult doc. Whay med can take for a bad flu and cold am taking flecainide atorvastatin losartan metformin levothy my cough is dry discharge mucous from lungs ?
Avoid Cold medicines: Cough in young children is extremely frustrating for parents. Unfortunately cough medications used in adults don't work in children. Decongestants in combination with cough medications can actually be harmful. Using guafenesin may be helpful to help secretions stay loose. Increasing fluid intake and humidity in the air can definitely help. Honey (for kids over 12 months) may be a natural remedy. ...Read more

Can i take cold eeze tabs for throat. Delsym (dextromethorphan) for cough and sudafed pe for stuffy head. All together?
If not double-dosing: A person can usually briefly take different over-the-counter "cold" medications, as long as she reads the labels and does not accidentally double-dose on an ingredient. Watch for acetominophen (tylenol) and Ibuprofen (motrin, advil) in the multi-ingredient medications. A person with a sore throat should check with her doctor to see if she has a strep throat infection, or other "treatable" illness. ...Read more

Go back to MD: There are times when the medicines we give, with good intentions can have side effects, especially the BP meds. I have pneumonia and i'm taking levaquin (levofloxacin) and tessalon perles plus cough syrup------is all that okay?
Perhaps: I find that cough medicines like tessalon perles and non-codeine containing cough meds are not terribly effective for the cough from pneumonia. They are more effective for post nasal drip or tracheitis coughs. If the pneumonia is bacterial, Levaquin (levofloxacin) is often very effective. If the pneumonia is viral-and many pneumonias are-the antibiotic will make no difference. ...Read more
Have clear nasal drainage, some cough for over week. Take Benicar and norvasc. Tried Mucinex (guaifenesin) but caused BP to elevate. What can I take to dry up?
Can i take Advil cold and sinus with Mucinex (guaifenesin) dm I have a cold: sneezing, sore throat, congestion, low fever, cough and just don't feel good.
Can I take cough syrup with codeine and mucinex (guaifenesin) dm simultaneously? I have bronchitis and in a lot of pain from coughing. If not, any suggestions?
Too much Rx: I wouldn't mix the codeine containing cough medicine with Mucinex (guaifenesin) DM which contains dextromethorphan. The dextromethorphan is basically an analog of a narcotic and you would be getting an excessive dose of narcotic which could cause excessive sedation, respiratory supression, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and other adverse effects. ...Read more
