Olive, coconut and..: Olive oil is healthy for cooking at low temperature but is not healthy when exposed to high heat. For higher heat i recommend coconut oil, which has many health benefits and does well at high temperatures. Hi-oleic safflower oil is also good for high temperatures. Separate issues: Excess body fat is MUCH more common than too little. One has to be on an extreme diet (or anorexic) or have malabsorption to get dangerously low body fat. Avoiding oils does not reduce body fat much; eating carbs is the main cause of fat. Which oil? That is: most important to know before answering this question.If it's GMO canola, peanut, or vegetable oil, STOP! If you are using virgin, cold pressed olive oil and sauteing at low temp, that is okay!
