My wife has severe whole body itching- 2 mon. When she scratches, the skin develops rashes with pimples. She took piriton&Loratadine, still not solved?

Took loratadine 5-10 mg/daily for allergic rash, and have felt much more alert/sinuses clear on it--any reason not to take it daily indefinitely?
