Pelvic & belly button cramps followed and relieved by a bowel movement, but whenever I pass a stool it is hard to come out. What is this?
Incontact with norovirus 2 days ago. Today cramps, gas, and floating stools, burning while having a bowel movement. What could this be? Worried.
Need to know causes for blood in stool. Not hemeroids. Occasional cramping in abdonminal area. Consipation. Feels like bowel movement is not complete.
Hello,: Hello, I can't diagnose the cause of the blood in your stool. Causes of bleeding can include polyp which is bleeding, cancer, anal fissure or inflammation or infection of the colon (or any part of the GI tract for that matter). The person may have internal hemrrhoids that they aren't aware of. Constipation can also cause bleeding. Rough, dry, hard stool can damage the GI mucosa, especially if a lot of pressure is exerted to expell the stool. It is very important that blood in the stool is medically worked up. Take care. ...Read more

Had yellow/brown stools for a week now only 1 movement a day as normal but it sometimes firm other times urgent and loose should I worry?
I wouldn't: I believe the two main possibilities are that you had a viral gastroenteritis or mild food poisoning which has resolved on its own, and now your stools are gradually returning to normal. Or you have Irritable Bowel Syndrome--a disorder of normal bowel function which results in cramping, abdominal pain, bloating, gas, diarrhea and constipation. It is managed with increased fiber/other dietary change ...Read more
Abdom cramps that come and go, loose stools, nausea for 5 days what could it be? Feel like im on the toilet every 15 min
Gastroenteritis?: Assuming you haven't left the country or been eating raw meats, it is likely you have food poisoning or perhaps a viral gastroenteritis. I would go to your GP or GI doctor if choice and have your stool checked. For this acute if a presentation, food or virus seems most likely. Start yourself on the BRAT diet - bananas, rice, Apple, tea. To improve your loose stools and avoid dairy for a few days ...Read more

Get evaluation.: Off the cuff, you sound as though you may have an irritable bowel. There is much history to be taken and an exam of body and stool is in order. I would recommend you see your pcp and/or a GI specialist. Probably a minimal issue that will resolve but needs evaluation and proper treatment. Bad things can sometimes lurk hidden by nuiassance issues. Depends on age, risk factors, general health. ...Read more

Having a problem with constipation. I will go 4-9 days without a bowel movement, but when I go my stool is soft or extremely loose.?
Impaction: Typically we think of constipation as having difficulty passing a stool. That's true but not the whole truth. Some people, typically elderly, can get so constipated that they develop an impaction whereby the stool is stuck in place and only soft liquid diarrheal stool can get by. The only ways to determine this are by physical exam or x-ray (kub) demonstrating impaction. ...Read more
