I've had a bad headache off and on the past week. Today I woke up with a horrible headache and now it's accompanied by stomach pain and cold sweats.
Brand new?: If you are not the type of person who typically gets headaches & this is all brand new territory for you then, you will want to get examined quickly. Though it certainly sounds like it could be part of just some nasty GI viral complex or the like....I would still recommend a good neurological survey to be sure there are no other things going on that we're not seeing because of the sweats etc. ...Read more
Woke up having the worst stomach pain, nauseas, headache and weak. What could this be? Morphine took the pain away but came back not long after. Why?
Morphine?: morphine is short acting which explains why the pain improved, but only briefly. In fact, excess morphine use or dependency would be enough to explain these symptoms. Regardless, if the pain is severe enough to require morphine to obtain relief, I would recommend a visit to the Emergency Department. ...Read more
