Looks Like Chicken Pox But Not
My daughter has been on an antibiotic for 9 days now and a rash appeared over night it looks like chicken pox but she has been immunized them?
2 issues: First, chickenpox has a blister like rash & I assume this is what you are describing. If it is just bumps, it could be an allergic rash from the abx. Second, 15% of those given the varicella vaccine are not protected by the first dose, declining to 5% after 2 doses. It sounds like your doc needs to see the rash and confirm what is going on. If she has wild chickenpox she doesn't need the 2nd dose.See 1 more doctor answer
Caused by the varicella-zoster virus, chicken pox results in a blister rash that starts on the stomach, back, and face and spreads throughout the entire body. I got something on my face that looks like chicken pox but, they are bigger and hurt....They are not pimples and one keeps getting bigger...Help!
Impetigo: It sounds like you might be dealing with a staph infection. Do not break the pustules. See your doctor for evaluation - you may need to have the bigger lesions drained and you may require oral antibiotics. Until you get in to your doctor, use plain soap and water for cleaning then apply a topical antibiotic ointment to the lesions 4 times per day (neosporin, Bacitracin etc). Do not pick!
See the picture: Chicken pox starts on face, scalp, or trunk as papules (raised bump) and vesicles (small blister). In full-blown case, papules, vesicles and pustules (vesicle containing cloudy fluid) can be seen at the same time.
Red dots: Red dots could represent different eiologies. Chicken pox starts like red dots but then it forms small fluid filled blisters. Chicken pox lesions also occur on other parts of body. Need to seen your physician to make the diagnosis.

Can I take my 14 weeks old twins to someone house who is having chicken pox appeared 10 days ago but now looks fine?
Should be okay: Cpx is considered contagious from the day before the spots appear until the last one dries, or a week after eruption. If your timing is right it should not be a problem. If you had cpx as a kid, your twins would have some transient immunity you gave them during pregnancy, but this wears off by 4-6 mo at the latest.See 1 more doctor answer
I have what looks like heat rash in both armpits. Its spreading down my arms & sides, but my arms & sides look like I have chicken pox. What's wrong?
Pustular rash: This could be folliculitis or an irritated infectious rash from rubbing between your skin surfaces. I wonder if you've been hot and sweaty lately? Since it's spreading you should show a doc since it needs to be stopped. There are other things it could be like out of control fungus, contact allergy (any new deodorants?) or less likely the start of some viral infection--I doubt chicken pox tho.

My 8 month old has spots that look like chicken pox but the doctor says they are not. What are they?
Different phases...: The chickenpox rash usually goes through three phases: raised pink or red bumps (papules), which break out over several days; fluid-filled blisters (vesicles), forming from the raised bumps over about one day before breaking and leaking; and crusts and scabs, which cover the broken blisters and take several more days to heal.
